Before I activate Zen on my server ......

Hi all,

I am currently running an online shop through paypal, with all the weight/distance shipping issues and automatic currency conversion issues. Before I jump feet first into activating Zen I have a couple of questions. Can I upload a "dummy" page to see how zen works, and if I'm not happy just carry on with Paypal. And can any one show me a really decent shopping cart on a site as a demonstration ....the ones Ive seen are quite poor.

Why not just install ZC on a sub folder (domain.com/shop/) and test from there?
You can choose to install with or without dummy products then just use your paypal details as normal.

As for rubbish demos - Can you give some examples of what you are trying to achieve?
Have you looked through the showcase?

Had a go at installing it, came back with Curl error on server. One.com do not accept Curl . But speaking to them they do have traders using Zen....maybe an older version? ...not getting too far with it to be honest. Just seen a really good showcase site, which would do all I would need......if I can get it working.

Any help appreciated

you can install ZC without cURL,
however several payment and shipping modules will not work

and the devs have stated that the next release will require cURL

authorizenet
linkpoint
