    Default System Setup Required

    Hello,

    I'm having problems getting to the admin of my zen-cart shop.

    When I go to it, I get this message:

    Hello. Thank you for loading Zen Cart™.
    You are seeing this page for one or more reasons:
    This is your first time using Zen Cart™ and you haven't yet completed the normal Installation procedure.
    If this is the case for you, you will need to upload the "zc_install" folder using your FTP program, and then run zc_install/index.php via your browser (or reload this page to see a link to it).

    Your /includes/configure.php and/or /admin/includes/configure.php file contains invalid path information and/or invalid database-connection information.
    If you recently edited your configure.php files for any reason, or maybe moved your site to a different folder or different server, then you'll need to review and update all your settings to the correct values for your server.
    See the Online FAQ and Tutorials area on the Zen Cart™ website for assistance.

    To begin installation ...
    The Installation Documentation can be read by clicking here: Documentation
    You will need to upload the "zc_install" folder using your FTP program, and then run zc_install/index.php via your browser (or reload this page to see a link to it).
    The Online FAQ and Tutorials area on the Zen Cart™ website will also be of value if you run into difficulties.
    This is what I get when I go to includes/configure.php:

    <?php

    // ie: /path/to/your/webspace/public_html/zen/cache -- leave no trailing slash
    define('SQL_CACHE_METHOD', 'database');
    define('DIR_FS_SQL_CACHE', '/home/sundra/public_html/cache');

    // EOF
    If anyone can help me figure out the problem, I'd appreciate it.

    Thank you.

    First, contact a Mod and ask to have your mySQL access information removed!
    You could also report your own post with details about the removal.
    Never provide login or access information in a Public Forum.

    As to your problem, it looks like you could have your DB_SERVER_USERNAME & DB_DATABASE confused. Are you sure they are supposed to be the same; that is not the norm.

    If your Admin section is giving an error / waring msg., is your front-end doing the same?
    If NO, then the information in your 'admin/includes/configure.php' file is incorrect.

    Crap, I guess should report this to one of the mods now.

    Thanks for the heads up.

    You should review the information in your 'admin/includes/configure.php' file to make sure everything is correct. Although similar to the 'includes/configure.php' (which is used for the front-end where you are not having any problems), the two files are slightly different. A bit more information is required within the Admin configure file.

    As the front-end is working fine, this means you were able to correctly enter information and need only review the Admin configure file to see where things went wrong.

    Yeah, I think I figured out what the problem is, but I have to edit it through my file manager.

    The problem is when I try to fix the problem, it tells me:

    [a fatal error or timeout occurred while processing this directive]

    I may have to just contact my webhost to get the problem fixed.

    It would probably be most helpful if I posted what the /admin/includes/configure.php file says as well:
