    Default Upgrading to newest version

    If I upgrade to the newer version will it delete everything I have in my zen store now?

    If you have your own template defined and have adhered to the override system religiously then you will not loose your changes.

    I forgot to mention that I load my zen cart through a point of sale program, which is set up for zen cart. So, I guess I am worried that all information that has been put through, which is alot will be lost

    if you back up your files and the database, you will not lose anything, upgrading does not mean you lose data, the problem you are going to have is if the POS system is integrated in the cart, then there will be files that will not work anymore, untill there set back up in the new version, and if you did not over ride correctly then your going to have template problems, and dont forget added MODS.

    thanks so much. I really don't know if did override properly so I think at this point it is safer to just stay with what I have. Thanks again for the information.

    Have you asked the POS folks what the best procedure is? I am not familiar with your POS or how it operates and since the two are connected you may want to get their advice.
