Default trouble editing the main page

I just upgraded to version 1.3.8a

I have an issue editing my main page since I paid for the upgrade.
    This is what it says:
Error: I can not write to this file. Please set the right user permissions on: /home/creekbankcreations.com/httpdocs/includes/languages/english/html_includes/template_custom/define_main_page.php

Note: you should always edit the files located in your current template override directory, Example: /languages/english/html_includes/
Be sure to make backups after changing your files.

I have no idea what this means. Can someone tell me what I need to do so I can edit the page?

You will need to set permissions on the files you want to edit - either thru FTP or your files manager in cpanel.

Settings should be at 777 to make your changes then set back when you are done.

The path to the files is:
    includes
    languages
    english
    html_includes
    (YOUR CUSTOM FOLDER)
    define_main_page.php
(or the pages listed in the dropdown box in admin)

The problem is I have NO IDEA what any of what you said means.

I hired a developer to upgrade the site and this issue came up. She doesn't know how to fix it either. Can you help me out here?

It means you ftp into your files on webserver and change
permissions for those files in that folder quoted to 777
