Export/Search/Report based on Customer Address

I need to be able to pull our order /customer information based on the Country/State or City of the customer.

The customer 'search' option seems to search for city but not state or country.

We are looking to get local media attention for some upcoming events and want to be able to generate a list of customers from a specific area that bought our products as they may provide testimonials or endorsements.

I don;t need to do this from the admin console but do need to do it asap. Can anyone offer advice or assistance on how to do this. It seems like the best thing would be to modify the orders.php 'search' option to also search in State and COuntry fields but I have no idea how to do that.

Anyone able to offer advice on this. I really want to be able to generate a list of orders based on the country. The current search facility does not appear to be capable of this.
