Replacing Alpha Filter with Sort By

I am posting this topic second time.Anybody having a solution please respond.

"I just want to replace the Alphabetical Filter(a,b,c) with the Sort By(price,name,old,new).Is it possible?

I have waited over the forum for two weeks but no hope ,please do respond if having a solution

I read on this forum that is not possible because they are based on 2 different codes. You should write your own, but its quite hard.
