    Default Lost my shop!

    Hi

I've obviously done something stupid while editing a .php file to remove the "Congratulations, you've installed Zen Cart...."

    Now the shop has disappeared!
The file I was altering was the "includes/languages/english/classic/header.php" file, specifically the line which goes "define('HEADER_ALT_TEXT',..."

I changed the text, saved it and bingo....no more shop!

Any ideas how to rectify this situation or do I just remove and reinstall the entire shop (rather drastic!)?

Would be easier to just replace the file you were editing, you do have a back up don't you?

If I had been intelligent enough to make a back up I wouldn't have needed to cry out for help!

I'm a total newbie and didn't think that changing this portion of the text would have such as disastrous effect!

In future I'll download ALL the files before I make any configuration changes but for the moment I'm still facing removal and re-installation of the shop. Fortunately I've only got 3 (yes, only three!) products listed but it's still a hassle.

Go to Source Forge and download the full package - re-upload the file you changed from the package - you don't need to re-install.
