Always display subcategories - AGAIN

I've searched all the threads but haven't found the answer.

I can't get any of the mods mentioned to work.
Where do I copy them to?

1. includes/modules/sideboxes/MY_TEMPLATE?
2. includes/templates/MY_TEMPLATE/sideboxes?

Which mod is the best for always displaying the subcategories?

Are you meaning category sidebox or some other area of
zencart that also displays categories?

tested...works fine with zencart 1.3.8.a
