Where are the descriptions stored?

Could someone please tell me where Zen Cart stores the descriptions?

in the database under products_descriptions

I guess I need to clarify my needs here. My hosting company lost my database in an effort to add SSL to my account (transference). Efforts were made to recover the old database from the full backup - long story....

I would like to be able to go into my full backup file and copy/paste my product descriptions into my freshly installed Zen Cart.

Is this possible?

If your host lost your DB then you should be really upset at them,
1 there was NO reason that the DB was touched to install SSL

and since the product names descriptions and everyother piece of stored information is in the DB then you have lost it.

on your new site I would suggest adding the backup mod ( its in the DL section ) and back your DB up daily...

also I would look for a new host that dosnt have live backups of your site.

they broke it they should have had the files to fix it.....

Thanks for the bad news ;)

The hosting company had to create a new account to add the SSL. So that means they had to set my domain up in a different spot.

They said that they finished installing Zen Cart for me.

I said great, but what about my 1000s of hours of designing it??

They asked me to copy/paste the instructions, so I sent them this link. Hopefully they can figure it out. Meanwhile, I'm just recreating it. If feel like the queen of an anthill that just got her colony dug up. Time to rebuild the colony
