    Default Server or site ?

    Hi there Zenner's,

    The site i manage (www.tbsm.com.au) has been having some speed issues lately and i'm trying to work out whether it is the site or the server that is to blame.

    I turned on the Parse Time display and am getting times like;
    Parse Time: 26.915 - Number of Queries: 49 - Query Time: 0.050460192810059
    for the home page and
    Parse Time: 61.089 - Number of Queries: 155 - Query Time: 0.13021597294617
    for product displays...

    Now the site has alot of attributes (for the 1000+ products) that need to be kept and has alot of images which i have optimised without reducing the quality too much. Also the site receives around 15000 views per day and around

    So should i look at cache mods etc.. to try and bring down the number of times the common images are loaded or just go looking for a new host?

    Thank you !

    Your banner image, and background image sizes are huge (almost 500k in total)

    Try that first, then you can also cache the navigation bar (the categories....).
    I no longer provide installation support on forum for all my modules. However, if there are real bugs with the modules please feel free to contact me

    Okay i will give that a go, the weird thing is though that the site runs fine most of the time, like right now i get times of
    Parse Time: 0.500 - Number of Queries: 232 - Query Time: 0.15979296166992
    and then other times its at the other end of the scale with 60+ parse time.

    Good sometimes, not so good others ... points to a server that is probably overloaded.
