In your Shipping/Packaging does your Maximum read: 50 or 50lbs when you edit it?

Make sure that it is 50 ...

NOTE: you are missing from your stylesheet the classes:

.hiddenField {
display: none;
}
.visibleField {
display: inline;
}

And you need to fix this image as it is hard coded vs relative so throwing secure issues:

Meanwhile, I am not seeing the source of the problem ..

why would that image be throwing security issues if that's on the blog? it has nothing to do with zencart.

No idea but when I am on the secure pages I noticed it is being called and giving a secure warning ...

NOTE: it is in your right column ... and most likely you have referenced it with the full URL and you need a relative URL so that it works on secure and non-secure pages ... try something like:
/blog/img/vipspecials.jpg

Yeah I know, I put it there but the thing is, the blog which is a completely separate wordpress installation doesn't have secure pages, is not even part of zencart. You could access them if you know what you are doing calling them by hand, but there is no need for any visitor to access the blog via https nor there are links from the blog that point to any secure page. I mean even from the secure pages of zencart, you are directed to the non secure pages of the blog. The blog is managed by 2 people only, we don't allow account registration to visitors, so I don't think that should matter. In any case I'll make the change to the relative url in the morning. thanks.
