Global price change?

I use quick updates (http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...roducts_id=101) to accomplish this... Nice thing for you is the added ability to change by percentage (like to cover currency fluctuations) for all products or just selected products.

Backup your database ...

In the Tools ... Install SQL Patches ... run the command:

UPDATE products SET products_price= products_price +1.50;

Then go to the Tools ... Store Manager ... and run the Update Products Price Sorter ...

You should then run in the Tools ... Store Manager ... the Update Products Price Sorter ...

Are you trying to change all the prices for a specific manufacturers_id to be the same price everywhere?

I'm having a similar nightmare and came across this thread looking for a solution. On the wood building website in my sig almost every price is the result of size attributes, so from what I've read here a global price change isn't going to work for me. On top of that, not every product needs a price rise - there are two categories where I don't want to add 5% to every item.
At the moment I think the only option is to go and change every price manually, which with some products having a dozen or more size options is going to take me a couple of days to input . Surely there must be a better way than that?

In your case, because the products are Priced by Attributes it would be easier to write a script to manage this where you can say what Category you want updated and only update the Products in that Category that use the Attribute that you want to update the price on ...

Once written, you can then use that code anytime you need it ...
