Do I need the ssl certificate for the checkout process to continue. Because I am going through some testing but zen cart won't continue to checkout process.

What indicates that it won't continue? What error/warning message?

testing the checkout process on Zen Cart 1.3.8a. The payment method I'm using is credit card. When I view the cart and click checkout, then it proceeds to the shipping information. After I've entered the shipping information and try to go to the next step it will not go to the next step.

I am thinking you do not have any shipping method installed

admin > modules > shipping > look for one that has a "green" dot associated with it

I have installed the fedex module for shipping. It should be working. when you click on estimate shipping it gives a variety of pricing. Could that be messing with it?
