Mainwrapper Problem

I am trying to start the #mainwrapper or main area of content for my site underneath my logo/header. It's currently set in my stylesheet at "vertical-align: top;" - what would I change it to so that the border and background colour for that section doesn't extend up around my logo/header image?

These are in layers and if you have your header set as a color different than your mainwrapper you should not be having the issue your post eludes to

I am trying to remove the white background and pink border so that it doesn't extend up to the top of the page but stops at the bottom of my logo - the design of my store will then be more streamlined to the design of my website.
It would also be great to know how to remove the white block and pink border behind and around the 'Powered by ZenCart' under the footer links.

Try setting your border on #contentMainWrapper rather than #mainWrapper.

The white in your header image is part of the image. If you want it to be the same light blue as your body background, you'll have to re-do it that way.

I'm not sure what you want to do with the footer.

Thanks for that - I see what you mean re the image. That being said, the pink border will remain around my logo - how would I remove it so that it only borders the main area of the store and does not extend up around my header? Is that what you meant re the #contentMainWrapper instead of #mainWrapper? (Apologies if it's a simple fix, I'm new to all of this!)

This is also what I meant re the footer - the thin pink border that extends down to border the "Your IP Address is" etc text - how would I stop that so it does not extend down that far?

You are an absolute CHAMPION! Thanks so much. My only question now (haven't I asked enough?!) is there is a small gap under my header and the main area border (just looks like a few pixels in height - any ideas as to how I can resolve that?
