    Default SQL Error Importing Database

    Hi!

    I am transferring a installation from one host to another for a client, unfortunately the old host has cancelled the customers account before they should.

    I have a MySQL dump and am trying to install onto the new server.

    I am getting the message:
    SQL query: /*!40101 SET SQL_MODE=@OLD_SQL_MODE */;

    MySQL said:
    #1231 - Variable 'sql_mode' can't be set to the value of 'NULL'

    I have 4.1.22 and the dump of the original Sql table says Server version 4.1.12-standard.

    How can I fix this - I did have a look at the site after and it looks OK, except for the define pages are the generic text.

    We phoned the previous host and they said Oh well you said you were moving so we cancelled it.

    Thanks
    Ernie

    You can usually safely delete any lines similar to the one causing the error, as they are usually just guides to compatibility modes or used to assist performance-improvements on large imports done on a regular basis into a large existing database that's already live.

    Whew!

    Thanks for letting me know, I'm glad it was nothing too serious!
