    help question Using custom scripts

Hi, I am new to zen cart. I search the FAQs and the forum and did not find my answer (could be because I am new to this site too). This is one of those make it or break it questions for me. If I can get this with Zen, I can use it, if not, I can't, so your help would be greatly appreciated.

I have several pages with a custom scripting that I have had done. These pages can have over 100 items on them. What my script does is this:

You don't go to the cart after clicking the buy now button

The buy now button changes color and states the item is added to the cart (this is done in the form, via the rules in the script)

The cart page does NOT refresh when a buy now button is used, because I want the customers to see what items have been added and what items have not been added. The page only refreshes when they actually leave that page.

Also, these forms have 2 price basis, price is decided on the choice on the drop downs in the forms.

So my question is, can I have custom scripting and have button changes when using Zen? Can I have two price bases in dropdowns for the buy buttons?

Zen Cart has a setting to not go to the shopping cart page after adding an item, and prices can be based on options in a wide variety of ways.

Connecting your already-written script to Zen Cart would probably be a major job, but your functionality can most likely be reproduced in the standard ZC pages, perhaps with some customization depending on details.

Clarifying - You can have a standard listing page with 100 items, each with a quantity or add button that can be toggled so choices can be made and unmade, and an "add selected items to cart" button at top/bottom of page that adds them all at once when ready.
This does not by default enable options per product on the listing page; mods have been written for that though it is not a simple task.

The individual product page can have a large number of options affecting price, and there is a dynamic price updater mod that will show the current total.
