Shipping suggestions for UK store selling internationally?

What would you suggest is the best way of setting up zen cart shipping for a UK store selling clothes internationally?

We have a flat rate of £4.50 for UK customers, £5.50 for Europe and £8.50 for US and £8.50 for Australia and Asia.

Do you think zones would be the best way, or can you recommend a better set up? Thanks for your help!

When you say Flat Rate ... do you mean I buy 1 thing and pay $8.50 for shipping and if I buy 27 things I still pay $8.50 for shipping?

Or, do you mean that I pay $8.50 for each Item?

Hi Ajeh, I mean the former - if you buy 27 items it's still only £8.50.

I think you may want to look at the add-ons for the Zone Flat shipping module, I am pretty sure that there is one ...

Otherwise, you can clone the Flat Rate flat shipping module and create the Zones you want for each cloned module ...

A search on:
clone flat
clone item

should bring up numerous examples of how to clone a shipping module ...

Thank you! Looking through the Zen cart book, I guess that would be through adding zone definitions. One for Europe, one for America and one for Australia/Asia.

Is there a quick way of adding the relevant country to the relevant zone definition? It seems like a lengthy process to manually do it.

If you have more than 3 zones, first edit the zones.php shipping module and change the value on the:
$this->num_zones = 3;

Next, INSTALL the Zone Rates and enter the Country you want to setup ...

After they are defined, you can set a rate for all zones not otherwise defined one of the Zones as 00 for all other countries ...
