    Default [Done 2.0] Phone is required when editing customer but not on sign up?

    Hi,
    I have a problem that seems really funny and unlogic.
    On signup the customer dont need to fill in phonenumber. Its not required.
    BUT, if I need to edit that customers adress for example in admin I cant save because the phonenumber is required?? And that field is of course empty since its not required on sign up?

    How can I get round this? I dont need the phonenumber as required on sign up so that is not a solution.

    Can I make it not required in admin? I´m not a coder so please give me a hint where to look.

    Are you sure the customer didn't just hold down the spacebar when creating the account?

    Hi,
    thanks for your prompt reply!

    But the fact is that the phone number field is not required on customer sign up. He/she dont have to fill it in at all!

    But in admin its required anyway and of course there is problem then when editing customer and trying to save.

    Really unlogic...

    This works in v1.3.8 if you set the Minimum Value to blank, not 0, but to blank and then the telephone is not required for the customer nor in the Admin ...

    What do you have set for the Configuration ... Minimum Values ...
    Telephone Number
    Minimum length of telephone number
    What version Zen Cart are you running?

    Clean install or an upgrade?

    What add-ons are you running?

    I have the same problem quick easy work around is to just hit the space bar once in the phone number field it will the let you save the customer.

    Ahh actually removing the 0 in minium values did the trick for me thanks Ajeh
