    Default Copying a site

I am setting up a second website and I have copied my existing 1.3.7 site to a new server (www.thesignagenetwork.com) because heavily modified and I like the look and feel.
For some reason it cannot o connect to the database. The new server is the exact same setup as the old server and the ISP is the same.
Here is what I have done:
1- copied all files from the old site to the new site
2- modified includes/configure.php and admin/includes/configure.php to reflect the new site
    address and user name.
3- downloaded the old database and changed all references to the old URL to the new URL and
the old username to the new username.
4- uploaded the modified database to the new server
5- edited .htaccess to reflect the new address information.
I get an error saying that there is a problem connecting the database. What have I missed?

All the steps are there, including one that I wouldn't have expected would be necessary (step 3).

All the information for making a connection to your database is in the configure files. So either they are wrong, or the database isn't where you think it is.

The most common problem when people believe that they have done everything, is that they have edited and reloaded the configure files, but forgotton that they were write-protected. So the changes made are correct, but haven't actually made it into the configure files on the site.

Thank you very much for your reply.
I found the problem. In the configure.php files there is a SERVER_PASSWORD variable. The password was set incorrectly. After changing that variable it now works.
