    Default How to fill the space below the sidebox?

    I've got three sideboxes on the left and one (the search box) on the right, and use the centre area for everything else. This means there's a big blank space below the sidebox on the right. How do I put something, such as an image or weblinks, in that area? Thanks.

    If there aren't any other stock sideboxes that work for you, try the 'Blank Sidebox' mod - works great, and you can put any content you want to in that.

    Thanks Steve. I've downloaded and installed the blank sidebox mod, and thats working.

    However, this still appears as a sidebox (ie. its got a frame and a header etc.), which is not totally ideal, because I would have preferred to be able to use the spare space more freely. But its a big step forward!

    One problem I can't seem to get rid of is that this sidebox also contains two vertical lines, one each side, just inside the frame of the sidebox - which none of my others has. Any ideas where these are coming from? Thanks.

    I'd have to see the problem.

    The site I'm building is at www.tasklinedatalog.co.uk/shop (which isn't finished!), and its the sidebox bottom right. Thanks

    Where'd all those tables come from (which version of Zen Cart are you using?

    The lines are coming from this:

    Code:
    stylesheet.css (line 169)

    sideBoxContent, .centerboxcontent {
    border-left:1px solid #000000;
    border-right:1px solid #000000;
    line-height:125%;
    padding:5px;
    }

    The first thing I'd recommend is that you upgrade to the current version of Zencart. That's a pretty old one you have there, and it's table-based rather than CSS-based, which makes it a lot harder to style.

    Steve,

    It is an old version, and one that several people have dabbled with over the years, including doing things to the original files, so I'm fearful that performing an upgrade will cause me some major problems - unless you happen to know its a painless process?

    Christon,

    I deleted those entries in the CSS and it not only got rid of the two vertical lines inside the sidebox, but also all the vertical lines that made up the sides of the frame of all the sideboxes! However, I think it looks nicer now so thanks.

    Um oops? LOL Glad you like it that way though....I took another peek at the source code and it appears the class was entered in that sidebox twice which is why you got the second set of lines but I did not notice that before LOL

    Code:
    <td class="sideBoxContent" width="100%" height="100%" colspan="3">
    <div class="boxText">
    <div id="blanksideboxContent" class="sideBoxContent">
    If you should decide you want the lines back on the actual boxes, just give the second class in the div a different class name and add the same values in the stylesheet minus the borders ;)
