huge store running slow!!!!!! 413,000 products

i manage a huge store and we are adding more products everyday zen cart is slowing down badly...i have a dedicated box with a duel core pro and 2gb of ram, i have bumped up resources for php and mysql. i dont think its the hardware....anybody have any ideas???

try doing a wilcard % on all manufactures..you better go get a cup of coffee and it might be done when you get back ; )

OPTIMIZE your images - the index pages is over 400k! The back ground is over 50k by itself!

This is not fair as it diplays every product and not what a normal person would search for

Worse is when I selected ABB and PLC

I echo Kim's comments and especially for your product images that are probably 80X80 and yours are 17+k and need only be 3-5k

When your Query Time is almost as large as your Parse Time, it means your MySQL server is taking forever to retrieve your data, and thus it needs some serious tuning by the server administrator. Either by fixing memory allocations and cache settings, or even by just ensuring that all the indexes originally set are actually still in place. And if the server's hard drives are running out of space allotted to MySQL, that should be fixed as well.

Track your server log, check all the most visited links and see if they load fast enough. If so you have nothing to worry about, no-one searches for % (except us ^_^)
