Additional Images not showing with IH 2 "comstock template"

Oh man I have been struggling with this problem the entire weekend. I followed the instillation instruction my folder persmission are 777. I can see the additional images in my admin area, but not on the site - in the product info page..

I have read more then 20 posts and at least over 65 pages of information in the forum, yet no answer to my solution.

Can anyone please point me in the right direction.

ps. my template is comstock could there be a problem-maybe I need to make changes to php files. any ideas.

Make sure your additional images are turned on

admin -> catalog -> product types -> Product - General (edit layout)

Show Product Additional Images (set this to 1)

I do have Show Product Additional Images set to 1. I used to add additional images manually. I'd load the main image (ie.image.jpg) through admin, and ftp (image_01.jpg, image_02.jpg..etc) into the dvd folder. That worked fine, until I added IH2 on Friday.

Actually when I remove IH2 through the admin area. My additional images re-appear. The moment I re-install or install IH2 the additional images disappear. Very strange, and I tried everything and nothing seems to work.

When I remove IH2 they show up, as soon as I install IH2 they disappear.

Have you checked the IH2 support thread for similar problems.

When you look at the source code of the page, do you see issues there? I don't understand the code, but I can see there is an additional images section.

No issues that I can see and you shouldn't have to change anything.

Although I don't understand what the code is doing yet I am wondering if I need to do something like that.

Hi folks,

Glad you find your way to solve this problem. I just happen to have the same problem today,and find out if you simply disable the zoom in function for the small image,your second image will show up. If any other encounter this problem,and not using the zoom in function,just simply disable it.

I had the same problem
Fixed it by win-merge had some corruption at one of the scripts.

in general make sure that all the folders from the installation that are name "YOUR_TEMPLATE" or "YOUR_ADMIN_FOLDER"
are correctly renamed

You will be surprised how many people make this simple of mistakes
