Having Problems With Attributes

I am having problems understanding attributes, I have searched and searched and read about every post in this forum trying to figure out why my website is doing what it is doing.

(I THINK THAT IS ALL I AM RUNNING)

I have a drop down attributes for auto ship

The drop down contains the attributes listed below

NO (basically the deafualt in the drop down with no discounts)
SHIPPED EVERY MONTH -$2.45
SHIPPED EVERY 2 MONTHS -$1.96
SHIPPED EVERY 3 MONTHS -$0.98
SHIPPED EVERY 4 MONTHS -$0.49

The amounts showing in the drop down are not what I typed in to the field in attributes controller

I typed in the information in the boxes "price" under "prices and wights"

First box I put a negative sign -
Second box I put the amount I want to take off the price of the item

Which for example on the monthly shipping is $3.50 (it is showing $2.45in the drop down though) it shows correctly when I log back in to attributes controller. I believe it is taking off the correct amount and it shows the correct amount on the invoices but in the drop down where the customer selects it is showing up wrong???????

I'M COMPLETELY STUMPED (I'm prob doing something wrong with attributes)

I have read posts thinking it is a currency issue I have deleted all other currencies to test that and have deleted everything and added it back after I deleted all currencies.

Any help would be nice

I price everything in my cart including purchase tax and when I add an attribute, I need to put the figure in excluding tax for it to show up right. Try changing the attribute figure for the tax inclusive price????
