Paypal IPN with Ebay sales

Hi All,

I must be missing something obvious, as I can't any references to my problem, which I thought must be rather common.

I currently sell things on Ebay, which naturally has a Paypal option, but never had IPN setup. I'm now setting up my first Zencart site, and have turned IPN on and debug, but when my customers purchase on Ebay, I am getting IPN debug errors from my new site, due to the fact the IPN points to my web site, even though it's Ebay issuing the transaction, not my site.

How do you stop Ebay paypal payments triggering IPN callback errors, while keeping IPN active for Zencart?

Zen Cart ignores the IPN notices that it cannot process. If those are from ebay, you can safely ignore them too.

OK, so the IPN debug messages such as

IPN FATAL ERROR :: Could not find stored session in DB, cannot re-create
session as PayPal IPN transaction.

IPN WARNING :: Currency/Amount Mismatch. Details:

etc (14 in total) are safe to ignore? Once I turn of debug, I know I won't get them anyway, just didn't want a half rogue transaction stored in the DB anywhere.

The following message:

session as PayPal IPN transaction.

... is safe to ignore if it originated from eBay. The message is stating that when it tried to look up the session coming from the PayPal notification it couldn't find it in your store. Thus, it cannot process it.
So, if it originated from eBay, of course you don't want it to process.
If it actually came from a payment initiated from your store, then you'd want to investigate why the message was appearing.
