Adding one sidebox to a define page when sidebox is turned off

Hi there,

I want to be able to show one sidebox (testimonials) on my main_page.
I have turned off the use of the righthand sidebox on my tpl_main_page.php

if ($current_page_base == 'index' and $cPath == '') {
  $flag_disable_right = true;
}

Now no sideboxes show...which is fine, but how to I add just the testimonial sidebox to my main_page.php?
I want to add code to my main_page.php, but I'm not sure what I would have to add.

Are you wanting the testimonials in the define_main_page body, or as the lone right sidebox?

If you want any right sidebox to show, you will need to keep the right column active and turn off the other individual right sideboxes for the home page. Which sideboxes normally display on the right for you? Can you post a link to your site?

If you are saying that you want to put the testimonials box into the right column, then the column would need to be enabled, and you would need to disable the other boxes for the homepage individually.

In recent versions of Zen Cart there is a $this_is_home_page variable which is true or false that would make this easier.

I was thinking about having it within my layout. The way my layout is now, I have no right sidebar and the main_page fills up the right side where the side boxes would have been. I want to be able to add the testimonial sidebox near the bottom of the page.
I think if I enable the right sidebox and use the $this_is_home_page variable, I might not get the sidebox exactly where I want it on the page. (bottom right no matter how much content I end up writing for the main page).
Can I use some code to call this sidebox?
