I don't know of any way to do a bulk move of products which is what I think you're asking. I suppose it could be done with an SQL statement, but that could get tricky. How many products are involved?

They want to link the products. Doing it 1 by 1 is so insane....

They have hundreds to link to other categories..

I do this using Easy Populate.

Get all your products into a spreadsheet via an EP full download.

Flag all those products you want duplicated (LINKED) to other categories.

Delete all other products from spreadsheet.

Leave all remaining product data as is, changing ONLY the category(ies) you want to link the products to.

Save as tab-delimited and upload file to EP temp folder.

Using EP "Import from Temp Folder" re-populate your database with the products.

These will now be LINKED into the other categories.

Use Store Manager: Reset ALL Products Master Categories ID

    Done.

See WIKI for tutorial on Easy Populate.

(PS: TEST A HANDFUL OF PRODUCTS FIRST before you commit hundreds of changes. AND BACKUP DATABASE BEFORE YOU TRY THIS. It works well for me, but then I am a seasoned Easypopulate user.)
