Can I add new product type filter to New Products drop down sort?

I would like to be able to add my filter created to the new products page. When I took a look at the code I noted the addition of product_music filters (music_genre and record_companies) to the file modules/new_products.php; however I've gone through the other related files, and I can seem to locate where the drop-down select list is generated so I can add that filter to the selection list.

Could someone point me to the correct file?

I think I've located what I was looking for - modules/listing_display_order.php; however I'm not clear how to bring in my define for the filter ID into the mix here.

This shouldn't be hard, but I'm trying to get a grasp on where it would pull the var from my filter IDs.


If anyone has experience with this, please jump right in here. I'm going to go back and look at product_book also and see if Muku did this in his mods.
