new sidebox with products

Hi,

How can I create a new sidebox that will work similar to specials / featured products. I would like it to show a chosen product / price.

In the add-on section, there are some generic side boxen mods you can install and add your own content to.

I think the one by Kouri (sp?) is good one with nice comments in the code where to modify with your own stuff.
