Default UPS not adjusting shipping based on zip code

    Hi,

I've been doing some testing with the ups module and while the shipping estimates seem to adjust with additional weight and additional product, they do not adjust depending on the destination zip code. So as it's functioning now, it's a flat rate based only on weight irregardless of where in the United States it's being shipped to.

For a two pound package, whether the shipping address is Huntington Beach, CA, New York, NY, or Gainsville Florida - the price is 6.64.

Since we are shipping from California, I'm thinking that New York and Florida should incur higher charges based on quotes I'm getting from ups.com

I tried disabling and reinstalling the module. Hopefully I'm just missing something obvious. Anyone have any ideas?

I have my Configuration --> Shipping/Packing orgin zip code set to 92626 (Costa Mesa, CA).

Here are my ups module settings:

    Hi,

    Thanks for your response.

Yeah those rates you're sharing look a lot better.

But on my dev site, those real time rates do not seem to be adjusting based on the zip code. I haven't had a chance to retest, but I will when I get home from work tonight.

Any idea why? The IP address for my site is :http://70.32.81.119/

Click on store. You can see that I'm trying to merge the cart into static php pages. I realize zen-cart is designed to be standalone, so I will eventually break off zen-cart to its own window. I do wish zen-cart had better templating options for static pages so I could have code level control over different layouts.

You would need to adjust your local host file to go through the checkout process since the dns hasn't been transfered yet and it's on a different host than the current live site. Domain name is idcgps.com

    Thanks,

    Kevin

You can do just about anything you want as far as formatting goes - What exactly are you trying to do?

    Hi,

Thanks for your response. If you check out this IP: http://70.32.81.119/

You can see that I have built a bunch of static php pages for different sections of the site. Zen-Cart currently links off the store button (inside the shop directory). It would be great if I could recreate everything you see at the above IP inside of the zen-cart installation, since it's meant to be a standalone solution.

But I'm not sure how to setup different static pages inside zen-cart where I have page level control over the html because as you can see from the above IP, not all the pages have the exact same layout. I know with something like Wordpress, I can create new templates and create new pages based off those.

As it exists now, when the user click on store, I thought about just opening zen-cart into a seperate window - so in essence having two separate sites.

Any idea why the ups module estimates don't seem to be adjusting based on zip code?

    Thanks so much
