    Default "Mail Gift Certificate" sends twice

    Hi- Using Zen Cart 1.3.8a
    Database Patch Level: 1.3.8

    If I go to Gift Certificate/Coupons and select Mail Gift Certificate, and fill out the form, it sends two unique gift certificates to the customer in two emails, each for the amount I sent.

    This is happening on two different stores I run, each 1.3.8a, but on two different servers. Any idea why?

    Send Copy of Admin GV Mail Emails To Status is OFF.

    Hi- Has anyone else seen this? A little more info:
    If the customer redeems both gift certificates, both amounts show up on their account.

    Are you selecting the email address from the dropdown or manually adding it?

    Seems a similar thing is happening to us.
    Cart version 1.3.0.2

    Seems that a couple of our customers sent Certs, but they were sent twice with two different cert codes.....

    And they are showing as redeemed..

    I know I can look up customer info, but is there a way to see a customer account to see what there "balance" is??


    As for the email, the customer was sending them, so I would assume they were just filled in...

    Hi- We're selecting from the drop down and filling in the email address. Because we want the amount to be credited to the customer's account, but we don't want them to receive the email.

    We're using this for customers who pay by cheque or cash and we use the gift certificate to create a credit for them. But I think you may have answered the question, thanks!

    Hi- We're selecting from the drop down and filling in the email address. Because we want the amount to be credited to the customer's account, but we don't want them to receive the email.
    There isn't a simple way to do that at this time ...

    You need to pick either the Dropdown or enter an email address ... not both ...

    You could send the GV to yourself ... then, using something like Master Password with encrypted password, login to the customer's account and claim it for them from the GV code you get in email ...
