Admin preview of welcome email shows red x for an image I added

When I preview the welcome email in control panel, there is no image, just a red x.

When I click on properties it shows this path.

/store/admin/email/mypic.jpg

shouldn't it be

/store/email/mypic.jpg?

If so, what needs to be changed?

When you are using the Admin preview it specifically says at the top of the screen...

My emails work perfectly and yet in the Admin preview it also shows a box with a red cross in it where the graphics are - so I suggest sending yourself a test email to view the email as the recipient would.

You are missing the point. This appears to be a bug.

There's a forum for bug reports.

I think the email styling is changed completely in v. 2.0, so it may be fixed then.
