    Default Cannot edit the width of my template

    hello again..

    i've been trying to edit the width of my template to no avail..

    i've been to /includes/templates/classic/css/stylesheet.css

    #mainWrapper {
    background-color: #ffffff;
    text-align: left;
    width: 100%;
    vertical-align: top;
    }

    i have edited the width.. but when i refresh.. still, the same width..

    now, i see why...

    check the image below...

    how can i remove that line above my zencart store?? i guess if i can remove that i can resize my template...

    thank you very much..

    You ar displaying an image in the center that is 680px wide..

    First remove this image to see that css is respected then decide what width you want. and do some math
    Left & right columns look to be set to 150px each = 300px
    if you maintain the 680px image then you need 300 + 680 + any margins & padding to render correctly.
    You can resize the image to be narrower depending on what you want

    That's very strange - your mainWrapper is jammed up at the top of the browser window. It does change in width, but the rest of your page doesn't seem to be inside it.

    Try replacing includes/templates/classic/common/tpl_main_page.php with a fresh copy.

    actually, the friend i am referring to was a so called web designer.. but he just mess up my site so i think i'd better do it alone..

    did not work ... i also replace the stylesheet.css but it is still the same.

    the only thing changed is that it appears to have no line above and if i resize it to 40%, it stays that way..

    any file that if change with FRESH ones won't affect my store??

    thanks
