    Default Is there a way of adding a product but stopping it from adding to new products?

    That probably didn't make much sense.

    I would like to add products to the site but I do not want them to show up in the NEW products area.

    Is this possible?

    Thanks

    I think he may be asking how to enter a product and stop that one particular product from showing under "new products".... you could probably backdate the "date available" so it's available from a time that is longer ago than your default time for "new products"...?

    Thought process is good, get bucked, however ... a tad off ...

    The Products are new based on the date in the products table for the field: products_date_added

    which is not accessible when adding/editing the Product as it is managed internally ...

    However, you could go in to phpMyAdmin and change the dates as needed on your products ...

    Also, you can control "what date range" is the Product considered as New by going to the Configuration ... Maximum Values ...
    New Product Listing - Limited to ...
    Limit the New Product Listing to
    0= All Products
    1= Current Month
    7= 7 Days
    14= 14 Days
    30= 30 Days
    60= 60 Days
    90= 90 Days
    120= 120 Days
