Displaying the name of the Sale

I would like to have my sale announced on my main page...I would like to have Sale Maker put the name of the sale in for me. That way when the sale is over the announcement is automatically removed...can this be done?

I sort of figured something out here...I created a sidebox banner and added html to have it show my sale and the amount of discount given. It expires the same day as the sale...so it should be removed the same time the sale ends...

How did you create the banner? I am surprised that when you create the SaleMaker that it doesn't show up as a sale. How is the customer suppose to know there is a sale going on??????
