Default Inflate the number of guests online?

Is there a way to Inflate the number of guests online?

Instead of starting the count from 0 i would like to start it at 100 to make the site appear busier than it is.

    thanks.
    Thank you, Sincerely, MagicMan

If you are concerned about traffic appearances, turn off the who's online until you have real traffic. I don't intend to help you lie about it, and I doubt others will either. If it got out that you were fudging that, what might potential customers think about your trustworthiness in general?

In my opinion this is a completely unnecessary feature. Who cares (except the store owner) about the number of visitors at any one time?

It's a distraction that serves absolutely no purpose in encouraging sales. If store owners need to see who's online, do it through the privacy of the admin panel.

This question is asked with surprising frequency, but I've yet to see it actually answered directly. Not because we don't know, it's really not difficult, but because there's a strong reluctance in this community to help somebody to mislead their customers. Establishing trust with customers that we never meet is difficult enough when we're totally straight with them. And when somebody starts venturing off that path, even a tiny bit, it undermines us all.
