customer/order info lost when host restored database

Hi,
I am using the latest version of zen and have had it running smoothly for several months now. Today everything was fine when I first checked in, then later I had lost the last 5 days of my orders and customers info. I have checked with my web host and I think they think I am crazy. I don't have a back up as I pay them for a daily back up. When I ask them to back up my sql with the last one, they informed me the last back up is from Jan.3rd. I haven't made any changes to my site or zen cart. Am I wrong to think the host has lost my info. and restored it to the last one they had without telling me?
Oh, when I look at me data base, the missing orders are not in there. I just have 5 days missing all together. I also have 5 days of e-mails missing too! Any help would be much appreciated.

Your post is dated 21 Jan and the last 5 days of data are missing.

In my book 21 less 5 makes 16 - so if all data up to 16 Jan are present and accounted for then why is your host telling you that the last backup dates back to 3 Jan??

I guess this is worth investigating.
