can i remove the cart part of zen cart?

I know it sounds like a crazy thing to do but for a temporary amount of time can i disable the cart part of zen cart? what would be the easiest way of doing this as well?

Admin > Configuration > My Store > Store Status

Store Status
What is your Store Status
0= Normal Store
1= Showcase no prices
2= Showcase with prices
