New Products on main page looks more like random products

Hello,
on my index page I have "New Products", but I don't see any new products there. I see just some random products - sometimes all from one category, sometimes every from different category and other strange things. So how can I change it so my ZenCart will actually show New Products?

Or is there something else you would recommend to be on main page, like best-selling products?

Have you checked the settings at Admin > Configuration > Maximum Values > New Product Listing - Limited to ...
to see if your listing is actually being limited to recently added products instead of all products?

There is some selection happening when there are more products than you have set to display

Try adjusting

admin > config > maximum values > New Product Listing - Limited to ... > select a range

admin > config > maximum values > New Products Module > set #

and maybe others

Thank you, now it wokrs fine. I have another question. On right sidebar I have also "Newest product" and problem is that it show the old currency I used before and also doesn't show any decimal places. Where can I change that?
