This seems like the right place to post this. It may be a stupid question, but valid as my experience with such things is limited.

During the install for phpBB2 (this is after my install and month long config of my store) it asks for Database name etc. Should I be creating a new database for phpBB or will it work within the existing database structure I have created for Zencart?

I would hate to screw things up now by overwriting a database table.
PHPBB needs it's own database, but if you really know what you're doing, you can combine databases. The only problem there is if your database crashes because of a bad query, it will take the cart AND the forum down with it.
I would say if your host allows more than one SQL database, go for it. Some don't so you may have to combine the two. Just use PHPBB_ as a table prefix for all of the forum tables to keep from having issues just in case the cart has a table with the same name (like config, users, etc...)

Where does the link to the forum show up on my zen site. I have enabled it, i have updated the configure.php and still cannot see any link on my homepage.

I can access the forum through its website.

It's usually found in the "Information" sidebox.
If you created your own template, you'll have to enable the sideboxes through the admin control panel.

    Hi,

I have two phpBB forums, one for english and one for spanish. The idea is that all the posts in each one are in different languages, no way to mix them, and I just installed Zen Cart, and I would like to know how to configure it so that when someone registers in zen Cart is registered in both forums at the same time, or reven better in its respective language. I also installed the spanish module for Zen Cart.

    Thank you for your help

    Greetings Zen Cart people,

I am doing a triple install to include, MediaWiki (4 instances) Zen Cart and phpBB with a common login throughout. So far so good. Everything is working however before I go live I want to remove any references to editing password/email and username details in MediaWiki and phpBB - to do this I would like someone to shed light on removing password/email and username details from phpBB. No doubt there is someone who has done this.

    Thanks,

    Scott
