Shipping Question

I'm just setting up my first Zen Cart store:
v1.3.8, no modules added

I want to use Table Rate shipping to 5 zones. Is there a way to add an extra charge for 2nd Day delivery, and have it apply to only 3 of the 5 zones.

I'm new to this and will appreciate any help.

Not easily with table rate....being in the US why not use UPS and there you can offer one to many of their modes

You can do this easily with Advanced Shipper - ok, it's a commercial module but you will save the amount it costs many times over trying to make the default shipping options achieve what you want.

It is possible to CLONE (copy) certain shipping and payment modues, to create DUPLICATE modules that will function in the same way as the original module - but to which you can then apply different settings and/or zones.

We successfully CLONED the zonetables module TWICE, enabling us to have 3 modules (original plus 2 copies) that we use in the manner you describe - and I would suggest you look at this module as it will probably help you achieve your objective:-
