Shipping Multiple Items

I put the shipping charge for an item in the weight field on the item entry form and that works just fine when someone orders the item. But, if they order more than one item the shipping charges defaults to $0.00. I anm using table rate in the shipping module. Any thoughts?

When you say you put the shipping charge in the products_weight but are using Table Rate ... how do you think that is working?

What happens if you turn on Per Unit perweightunit and set the Maximum Weight to 5000 and the 2 Tare Rates to 0:0 ... does that work for you now?

Set the Shipping Cost Per Unit to 1.00
The tare settings are under Admin > Configuration > Shipping/Packaging - 4th/5th entries on that page

I'm still having trouble with this. Those settings did not work for me. It was working fine until the upgrade.

When you get to the checkout, what does it say the Shipping Charge is?

What do you have set in the Configuration ... Shipping/Packaging ...
This should be set to: 5000

Enter the Maximum Package Weight you will ship
Carriers have a max weight limit for a single package. This is a common one for all.

What do you have set for the Configuration ... Shipping/Packaging ...
This should be set to: 0:0

Package Tare Small to Medium - added percentage:weight
What is the weight of typical packaging of small to medium packages?
Example: 10% + 1lb 10:1
10% + 0lbs 10:0
0% + 5lbs 0:5
0% + 0lbs 0:0

YES! That worked. Thank you so much. Just one thing. How do I remove Per Unit and Best Way from the Delivery Information and Payment page.

Never mind. I was able to remove it but it left ( ): on the Payment Information page and I would like to put Shipping there instead.
