    Default Potential Email Blacklist?

    Hi,
I have a store that is currently using Zen Cart 1.3.8a. I have the Newsletter plugin installed and I was curious about Potentially causing my domain name email getting blacklisted by sending E-Newsletters to my clients?

I've searched the forum and haven't found anyone having problems with it, but I wanted to verify that it is relatively safe for me to use this regularly to my clients without getting on some sort of black list.

I appreciate any help I can get on this!
    Thanks,
    Seth

As the Newsletter module has a double opt-in feature, you should be safe from any Spam complaints.

Also important is to find out from your Hoster how many eMails per hour can be sent. If you exceed their limit, a lot of eMails could end up not being delivered.

Thank you for your quick response. I will have to talk to my host and see what they can tell me. Is there a way to know if they don't get delivered because of the Hosts email server?

undelivered emails should get back to email account that was used to send out ..
example : if you used [email protected] to send out emails and you have [email protected] mailbox set on your mail server , then all undelivered mails should end up there.

Sorry to keep kicking a dead dog - but if the server isn't delivering them because it can't send them out - it wouldn't be the problem of the end user's address/email - but your saying it still would deliver undeliverables (because of my email server) to the inbox that sent them?

Finally I found an answer to my initial question. There was a guy that did a pretty thorough response on his issues with Zen Cart's email newsletter information:

Pretty informative on this subject. Thank you for trying to help!
