Default SMTP Authentication required off for ZC?

    Hi,

Is SMTP Authentication required to be set to off, in order for email functions to work properly in ZC?

Does ZC use the mail() function to send email? If so, is this the only option ZC uses to forward mail to store owners - the mail() function?

    Thanks.

There are several methods supported and which depends upon your host and what they are using for a mail server

The Zimbra MTA is highly configurable, you should be conferring with your host as to how it is configured.
    ou could try php....

If in your desktop mail client you have to set SMTP Auth (must login before being allowed to send), then you can setup SMTP user & pass in ZenCart for sending
