Default Adding required drop-down menus to a checkout page??

Hi there. I have an issue that I fear may be too complicated!!

I am setting up a couple of web sites for friends to book accommodation at a convention (www.skyemade.co.uk for adults & www.skyemade.co.uk/Rejuvenate for youth). I have it set up so people can book which nights they want to stay and what accommodation they want.

Here is my problem - those taking the bookings need to know when people are expecting to arrive and leave so that they have numbers for meals.

I have currently changed the text of the 'Special Instructions or Comments About Your Order' box title to ask for arrival and departure times. But it would be better if this can be a required feature.

Can anyone tell me how to A) make that Special Instructions box a required field to be completed OR Even Better I think... B) Tell me how to creat 2 REQUIRED drop-down menus on the checkout page something like: Expected Time Of Arrival Options: before lunch, before dinner, after dinner - and then another one for Expected Time Of Departure.

Many thanks in advance for any suggestions,

    Stuart

The easiest way to do that would be to make 2 new text attributes. that are compulsory then every customer needs to fill these with every booking.

On your 'attribute controller' page in ZenCart, you can select the "legend" of the attribute to be "required".
