I recently installed Zen Cart (the latest version 1.3.8) and I did struggle a little bit with all the configuration settings, etc, but by reading this forum, I was able to get through most of problems. There is one thing however, that I can't figure out.
After setting up my only payment module, Website Payments Standard / Paypal, I was able to make a test purchase. However, I knew something was not right after I finished the paying process on the PayPal website, clicked on "RETURN TO [MY STORE NAME]", and saw a blank page.
After that, I logged into my PayPal account to see if the transaction went through, and yes, I had received the money.
The only problem I have is that I don't think that my Zen Cart store communicates correctly with my PayPal because in the admin panel of Zen Cart, I didn't see any notifications about any transactions. If I didn't check my PayPal account, I wouldn't even have known that there was a transaction (because Zen-Cart admin panel doesn't say anything). The number of the products in stock that I ordered, didn't change either.
Ok, so, my Instant Payment Notifications (IPN) is set to "ON" in the PayPal panel; my URL is set to [http://my_website/ipn_main_handler.php]. Also, the Auto Return is set to "ON" and the URL I have is (http://(my site url)index.php?main_page=checkout_process. The token also seems to be set up correctly.
I am trying to figure out where the problem lies. Do you have any ideas?
One last thing. After my purchase (as a costumer) I only received a confirmation email from PayPal. Is that the only email my costumers are supposed to receive?
