Not getting address' on paypal with orders?

Hi again loves, sorry if this has been asked/answered before but I couldn't find relevant information in my 2 days looking

I'm using zencart 1.3 and when I tested out ordering, paypal never sent address'. I've tried sending from my paypal to my mothers (runner of the site) directly and she gets address'. We also tried both zencart paying and paypal paying with my fathers account with the same results so it's just zencart's the problem.
We're using the website payments standard option so I don't know if that is the cause.

I've had a fiddle with paypal and zencart settings myself to no avail except now when the order completes it goes to a blank page.

I have deducted that it might be .htaccess as on the wikipage trouble shoot as paypal get's payment and information but zen cart doesn't think it's had an order, unless I use postal orders, so my theory is paypal can't 'talk' back to zen cart. In my searching I've seen it mentioned that it's because of .htaccess.
Thing is...how the hell do I turn it off to see if it's the problem?
