Pickup or NO shipping for only ONE category

I have five items in one category for a nonprofit organization, and many will be handed out at meetings, but still need to be ordered online.


I'm looking for a way to:
1) Disable shipping on only this category or these items.
2) Offer shipping via USPS as optional for only these items.
3) Offer pickup on only this category or these items.

Whatever I do, I must leave everything else in the store the same for UPS shipping.

Anyone have thoughts on how to get this done?

Do all of these products use that categories_id as the master_categories_id ... if so, you could test to see if any of the products in the cart are from that categories_id by testing for the master_categories_id ...

If you have the master_categories_id as a different categories_id on these products, you can still do a test of the products, but it takes more code to do so ...

I was hoping for something more simple, like putting a zero in the shipping weight. Isn't there a workaround solution for something like that?
