New Text Field for Delivery Details

Hi I need to add a new text box to the order pages (Delivery Information and Gift Message).

Obviously I already have a gift message option on there but need a new text entry box so customers can leave details of where they would like a package left if they're not in.

Please can somebody help?

Your best bet would be to trace down how the comment is being used ...

A search via the Tools ... Developers Tool Kit ... on the word:
comment

in both the Catalog/Admin ... would show you where it is coded and added to the order for both ...

That might steer you in the right direction to follow its patterns in the code to add your own text box to the checkout ...
