i think i messed up... need centerbox help

When I first started this site, I did not want a centerbox... and now I do... the problem is, I think I have may hard-coded my main page to not display the centerbox instead of going through admin --> configuration --> index listing and changing the settings there (everything is currently turned on and sorted 1, 2, 3, 4). When I did a view source on the main page, I got this:

Since there's nothing between the comments, does that mean I erased something I shouldn't have? And if so, how do I get it back?

You will have to re-trace what you changed and in what file and replace with a copy of the default file
