Local Site and Live site... keep linked?

Hi,

I have made a clone of my live site to my laptop (apache server fedora 10) so I can do some template editing etc.

Is there a way to sync files so for example a program that watches which files I edit on my local site then when I hit sync uploads ONLY those edited files?

I achieve this with WSFTP PRO - just requires manual login though, whereas you want it auto.

I'd be wary of auto... not a good idea to have newly edited files auto-ported to a live server. I sandbox everything before commiting to a live server...
